OLD HI’s&NEW BYE’s

We were so stressed, when we went to East London, for my youngest daughter’s wedding,on 7th December last year…
It was difficult to organize a wedding, over the phone and via emails. She knew she got married and of course, who the groom was…but that was it.They invited the guests and mom started with the arrangements,as soon as the date was set.We agreed to do everything,if she allows me,to have a free hand,to do the planning and everything kept a secret, from her and her husband to be….excèpt,pay for the meat and venue, but as for the sides, furniture, decorations of the venue, ect, all was set.She saw her wedding dress,on the day of the fitting for the first time…the afternoon before the wedding and daddy only saw her,as she came out off the room,in the Crowned Crane B&B in East London(SA)I don't get paid for this, but please feel free to mention me to the owners..B&B and self catering units She saw the hairdresser,on the day and I surprised her and got champaign for all the clients.Again she only knew what she looked like, afterwards.Same with the make up and nails.I sat about the whole Friday afternoon,’till late,to make sure the bouquet is what she would like….take in mind, that I’m a “mom of many colors”(can do a bit of a lot)At last my youngest brother was happy too and said it was beautiful…hubby agreed with him and I trust both their judgements.Luckely,I hired help and extra cleaners, because everything fell behind…the in-laws changed the venue, last minute. The guy responsible,to spit the lamb and pork, got historically drunk the previous day, already. He left the meat out in the scorching heat,on the club’s kitchen counter…After we went for the photo shoots,we were greeted with”the meat is “off”and smelly,as we set foot in the gate,at the venue. Two of my daughter’s colleagues and good friends, did the decorating of the venue, with the goodies we bought and a third(bestie)helped with the rest of the odds and ends, which included ùs,having to buy fresh meat, which she got at a discount, from a friend’s butchery… Fortunately he was willing,to keep his shop open,to serve us!…
The whole story, regarding the in-law’s,is for another time…
Well I couldn’t wait to get back home and with that, bring my grandson with, for the December holidays. It was such a pleasure,to have him at home.Ouma and Oupa couldn’t do ànything, because that’s why he came with..
Today,we had to meet his parents halfway and even though,we pretend to not be too sad,my heart was breaking. In a matter of a few minutes,we hugged and took photos…
Then had to say those dreadful words….”goodbye”…I nèver liked goodbye’s,but I had to say a final bye,to my eldest brother and a day short of a week,I have to say goodbye again… to my one beloved grandson, granddaughter, son-in-law and youngest daughter…
“It’s not too late for goodby’s” I heard someone singing on the radio…let’s be optimistic and realistic and only go as far,as to say “hopefully this is my last goodbye, for at least another month…”

It was the first self catering family unit(across the beach in Gonubie)that we could really relax after the stressful wedding. It was hard work to prepare for the wedding and everything around it.These two owners are friendly and did everything they could,to make our stay memorable. The spacious fully furnished, family units are affordable and compared good, with the rest….
